Food Detox: Day Six

Today was interesting.  I'm experiencing symptoms as my body rids itself of toxins.  I had a dull headache this morning and just didn't feel good.  Not bad enough to stay in bed, but not good either.  By mid-morning I was feeling a bit better and stayed that way most of the day.  Not 100% but not that bad either.  Interesting.

I'm looking forward to adding more foods back into the menu that will fill me up.  This afternoon I made my shopping list for tomorrow to stock up for week two which starts on Wednesday.  I'm excited to add back in fish (no shellfish), all legumes and beans, and gluten-free grains.  Our schedule is packed this week so I'll really be put to the test with cooking ahead and having things ready to go.

Here's what I ate today (all repeats from previous days):
Breakfast - Blueberry mint smoothie
One thing I hoped to find in this 21 day plan was one or two good smoothie recipes.  This one is a keeper.
Lunch - Red lentil and sweet potato stew
Another keeper recipe for use in our everyday menu planning.
Dinner - Creamy broccoli soup
I'm planning to make this one again too and keep it handy for lunches.

I snacked on spiced cashew cream and fruit and roasted spiced pumpkin seeds.  The "official" menu had a roasted portobello recipe which I didn't have time to pull together this evening before I left for the first of four Love and Logic parenting classes.  Instead I finished the rest of the broccoli soup.

I've eaten four avocados in six days.  A record for me!  Not to mention all the other veggies.  It is amazing.
