Today's snow day schedule

Day 17 of Christmas vacation (a.k.a. a snow day) brought out the organized mommy.  Gone are the laying around in your pajamas watching cartoons all morning and then heading downstairs to play Wii all afternoon days of the past two weeks.  The kids are on MY time now and we're going to get some work done and have some fun too.

Here was our schedule for the day:

My kids take after me.  They like a list and they like a routine.  We've had a really good day with minimal squabbles and just an occasional outbreak of WWF wrestling mania (do boys wrestle ALL the time or is it just me?).  The Christmas trees are put away (the real one is sitting out on the back deck as a bird hang out), the house is tidied up, we watched a movie with popcorn....yummmm...and played some games.  The kids did not sit in front of the Wii for 4 straight hours.  Hooray!  Mommy victory!

Right now is Free Play time, hence the reason I have a chance to write.  Now I'm off to finish putting the rest of the Christmas decorations away, figure out what's for dinner and start thinking of a plan for tomorrow because, you guessed it, we have another snow day.
