We took the show on the road this weekend and are spending two nights in a hotel with a water park. The kids are in bed and trying to fall asleep after completely wearing themselves out playing in the water. Hubby and I are sitting in the bathroom. This one is roomy enough to fit the chair from the desk. Nice!
We usually have a nightcap and wait for the kids to konk out. Either that or go to bed at the same time as the kids since we aren't in a suite. We've shared many glasses of wine over the years while hanging out in the bathroom. Sometimes we can even angle the TV the right direction to catch a game. I remember watching the Cardinals win the NLCS in 2006 with no sound. We were in Pigeon Forge, TN on a fall weekend trip.
Tiny hotel bathrooms are the worst, no where to sit. Or the ones where they put the sink outside and the toilet and shower behind the door. The key is to have no light in the room so the kids can sleep so that split bathroom thing is not a good set up.
Some nights we're too tired to worry about it and we just go to bed. My family Christmas party is tomorrow so no late night for me in the bathroom. Sweet dreams!
