Slow-Cooker Creamy Chicken and Mushroom Potpie

I made this for dinner tonight and it was very tasty.  (Click the link at the end of this post for the recipe).  One out of my three boys is a great eater and he enjoyed it, as did his parents.  My reluctant eater mentioned later in the evening to his dad that the chicken was really good.  He did not admit to this while he was sitting at the dinner table.  Our super picky eater did not try it.  "Ewwwwww....it looks yucky."  That pretty much sums up dinner time at my house.

Crock pot meals are the best.  I love making dinner at 8 in the morning and knowing it is taken care of for the day.  Apparently my three year old likes it too since he was in the kitchen begging to eat the carrots I was cutting up.  He gobbled them up, anytime is carrot time in his book.   This dish smelled wonderful so I enjoyed that throughout the day.

It definitely has more of a stew taste, my hubby and I decided we would try poultry seasoning next time instead of the thyme and bay leaf to give it more of a pot pie taste.  The puff pastry is a perfect "crust", yum.  Enjoy!

  1. Mmm, sounds like a good recipe. Of course to make it at my house I would have to eliminate the mushrooms and peas.
